Floral and botanical tattoos

Custom floral and botanical tattoos by Maddy in Bend, Oregon: lilies, roses, wildflowers and sleeves in black and grey.

Flowers are my favorite thing to tattoo. Lilies, roses, irises, wildflowers, ferns: there's something about botanical work that feels alive on skin, and black and grey shading gives petals and leaves a soft, almost photographic depth.

Botanical tattoos can be tiny or take over a whole arm. A single fine line stem on the forearm, a vine wrapped around a name and date, or a full sleeve of stargazer lilies and roses all start the same way: with you telling me what the flowers mean to you. Birth flowers, a favorite garden, something from a wedding bouquet, a plant that reminds you of someone. I'll draw a custom design that flows with your body and gives every bloom room to heal cleanly.

Floral and botanical pieces I love:

  • Fine line stems, sprigs and wildflower bouquets
  • Botanical half and full sleeves in black and grey
  • Florals paired with names, dates or script
  • Flowers mixed with figures, animals, skulls or ornamental patterns

Central Oregon has no shortage of inspiration, from high desert wildflowers to the ponderosa forests, and I'm always happy to work local plants into a design.

I'm tattooing at Rider Tattoo Studio in Bend from November 3 to 21, 2026, and spots are limited. Send me your flower idea through the booking page.

FAQ

Can you include my birth flowers?

Absolutely. Send me the months or flowers and any references, and I'll design a bouquet or arrangement around them.

Should floral tattoos be fine line or shaded?

Either. Fine line keeps things delicate; shaded black and grey adds depth. We'll pick based on size and placement.

How big should a floral tattoo be?

Big enough for the detail to heal cleanly. I'll suggest a size that keeps petals and leaves crisp over time.
